Meet a Need

There are thousands of non-profit and for-profit organizations across our state that are working to make Minnesota brighter. Below, find ways you can come alongside them to help let light win in Minnesota.

Christmas Concert Volunteers

Volunteer for Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge’s 12th Annual Christmas Concert, featuring Unspoken and the MnTC choir. It’s a beautiful Christmas tradition held on Saturday, December 14 @ 3pm and 7pm at Grace Church in Eden Prairie. All volunteers are invited to watch the concert and will receive a complimentary ticket in the Terrace section ($15 General Admission). You will have the opportunity to save your seat prior to the show for easy access after your shift ends. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to sign up.

Christmas Toy Drive

Our Every Family parenting education program strives to create a safe learning environment for the kids that come in to our office. One way we do this is by having safe, age-appropriate, educational toys available for our families. With Christmas quickly approaching, will you consider purchasing toys for the families we serve? NOW through December 25th!

Pack Meals

Find available volunteer times for you and your friends, family, business, school, church and more! Help turn hunger into hope with your own two hands by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world.

Give a Ticket of Hope

We invite you to watch this short and informative video, print a Ticket of Hope to keep in your car or purse and be confident that the next time you meet a person who is homeless face-to-face you will be able to provide the best help that anyone could ever offer.

Build A House

Faith Builds is a partnership program between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity. Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Faith Builds bring local churches together to raise roofs, walls, funds and prayer to build a house in partnership with a family in your community. All volunteers need to go to this page to register and fill out our waiver. Anyone under 18 will need to print the waiver during the sign-up process, get a parent/guardian signature, and bring the waiver with them to the site.

We rely on the help of passionate community members to serve our teens and carry forward our mission. We offer both weekly and one-time opportunities for whatever fits your schedule. Use the drop-downs below to find a serving opportunity by location or opportunity type.

Mentor a Client

The MnTC mentor program is designed to empower mature men and women from the Christian community to join together with MnTC in fostering the spiritual growth and continued sobriety of our clients. MnTC mentors make an immensely positive impact on clients throughout the program and afterwards.
