Since 1987

feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit.

Our History

On a mission trip to Honduras in 1982, the late Minnesota businessman Richard Proudfit heard God say, “If you’ve seen my starving children, feed them.”

Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. With the help of a team of Cargill food scientists and colleagues from General Mills and Pillsbury, a vitamin-and-mineral fortified rice meal was created making it easier to provide nutrition to more people. You will hear us say this again and again: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” This means reaching the hard-to-reach people and places, the “least of these.” They will be found, and they will be fed.

With God’s help, we will work together with organizations and ministries across the globe to end hunger.
